CHA - Over too Soon

Another CHA has come and gone :(   It's always so much fun to check out all the fabulous new products and it just seems as if time flies and it's over before you even get started.
So much to see and so little time.
Lots of yummy new embellishments and fabulous papers.
Can't wait for all the new stuff to hit the stores.
I can't say that any one thing stood out in my mind this year, but there are always lots of fun ideas and products.  Spellbinders has a new die cut machine - The Artisan X-Plorer.  It looks a little like the Cuttlebug machine (speaking of which, Provo Craft was noticably absent this year), but a little smaller and is supposed to have a "tighter" cut.  Although that didn't grab me all that much, there are many, many new dies and embossing folders now on my list.
May Arts - what can you say - ribbon, ribbon and more gorgeous ribbon.
Zva Creative and all their beautiful rhinestone and pearl bling.
Prima has a lot of fun new metal embellies that are all layerable.  We made a fun headband (they appear to be in this year) using them.
Graphics 45's new paper line - awesome!
The Ranger booth is always fun - great ideas to be had there.
The list goes on and on and on....
Here are a few photos of my friend, Ann and I having fun.
Waiting for the doors to open on Day One

Now, that's a pair of scissors!
They were to be used to cut the ribbon -
unfortunately - they didn't cut LOL
they had to move the stanchions.

Let the fun begin!

Above and Below - some gorgeous Mardi Gras masks made
with plastic masks - various sprays, pastes, glitters and embellies.
Needless to say - our quickie make & takes didn't look like this
but it was a lot of fun and as it was her last day for the show - she gave
both of these to me!!!

Some of the fabulous new embellies from Prima!

Here's my fabulous Prima headband from their Make & Take
LOVE the new metal embellies!!!!  So many possibilities.

This is just a small peek at all the fun that was had.
Had the pleasure of doing a couple of classes with Marvy-Uchida and they have a
lot of new, fun pens including a new alcohol ink with a fine tip - wouldn't replace my
beloved Copics, but would be a nice addition with the fine tip for teeny spaces.
Did a Hero Arts class and a Sizzix class that were fun too.

Took all our little make & take items and other buttons, cards, etc. that we picked up
and created our Smash Book for CHA 2013 back at the hotel!

  4. How wonderful to see your photos, Brenda (love your top, by the way, very cool criss-crossing) LOL - It seems that "metals" and "blues" are really hot this year - or metal look-alikes. Glad you enjoyed yourself as well as checking out the goodies. Would LOVE to get into some of the May Arts ribbons. I want the SB 3-D embossing folders LOL Welcome home!
