Starting my Christmas Cards...........

Well, it's a start anyway LOL...

Here's my first Christmas card....

very early for me..

 

It's a really cute stamp by Stampendous that

I purchased last year but failed to use :(

 

Colored with Copics and embellished

with microfine glitter.

I've fussy cut the two heads and

popped them up with dimensionals.

 

Hope you like it.

 

 

It's pretty CAS, but easy to mail.

Golf Golf Golf

Had some extra images

left over from all the golf

sticky note holders that we

made, so decided that

I'd make a birthday card too.

The image is from Art Impressions

and the greeting is from

Sparkle N Sprinkle.

 

 

 



Golf Note Pads

My friend, Ann decided to help

out her friend and volunteered us

to create something fun for

the goodie bags for a golf

tournament for the ladies golf club.

This is what we came up with.

It turned out to be a huge

project - we needed to make

110 of them!!!

 

 

They turned out rather cute and

were a big hit.   We divided our duties and

Ann made the holders.  I did the initial

coloring with my Copics and then scanned

them in and made a copy to use.

 

I hand glittered each one for some

extra pop using Sparkle N Sprinkle's

Orange Crush glitter put on with the Sakura Glue Pen.

We had a hard time matching the green

sticky notes with the coloring, but in the

end found just the perfect blend.

We layered the image onto black CS

and had little black gel pens attached

to the sides.

 

We had quite the little production line going.

 

A fun and easy project!

Tulips in Bloom

I'm sure it's not coming fast

enough for all you folks

that have had such an awful winter,

but these tulips are such

fun to color.  They're from

Sparkle N Sprinkle and I've

blinged them up with a little

Sparkling Snow Glitter.

A pretty seam binding bow

and some beautiful navy and

cream DP from My Mind's Eye

Lush Paper pack completes the picture.

Colored, of course, with Copics.

 

 

 

 



Lazy Daisy

Another beautiful and fun to color

spring image.  This time, daisies

from Stampendous (I think)....  it's

unmounted and for some reason

I didn't catalog it :(

 

Colored with Copics and

highlighted in the center

with flocking.

 

 

Perfect for Easter, Sympathy, Get Well,

Birthdays - you name it!

 

 



Surf's Up!

This little surfin' dude was so adorable

that I decided it should stand alone.

The only embellie I added

was the cute little sunglasses brad.

The image is from Stampendous.

It's Bloomin' Cactus Time

It's March and in Arizona

that means the cactus are beginning

to bloom.  They're so gorgeous when

blooming - it's a shame that the

blooms don't last long.

 

The image is a fun cactus

from Whipper Snapper that

I use a lot.  The "mesh" image

was embossed with gold EP

and is an image by Magenta.

I've had them for eons so

they're probably discontinued.

 

 

 

 

 

 



I just love this Judith vase

and the little flowers.

With different colors, it

could also be very Southwest.

I opted to case it from how

Judith had it colored though.

 

 

Colored with Copics and

accented with Crystal Accents.

 

Next time, I'm going for the Southwest look!

 

 



Pop-Up Flamingo

Trying to keep the momentum going

this year on my blog......

My friend, Ann is doing this

pop-up box as a club project

so have decided to try one out.

Easy-peasy!!!

It's called the pop-up card box

and is super easy to make.

 

 

As it was a club project,

I kept it a little more simple.

Hope you like it.

 

 

I used dark brown CS from SU

for my base and DP from

The Paper Studio's - Beach House Collection.

The 2 palm trees are a stamped

image from Stamps In Motion (1996)

and the flamingo scene is a stamp

image from Viva Las Vegas Stamps.

The greeting is from SU - After Thoughts Set

 

 

Here's a close-up of the inside of the box.

Images were colored with Copics.

Had to lighten it up a bit so you could see

so the DP doesn't really appear to be the same :(

 

The beauty of this little box is that

it folds FLAT!!!

 

The back of the box has an additional

CS piece attached so that it doesn't

flop around and is meant for a place

to add your greeting.

I opted to make a little pocket

behind the flamingo image on

the front side of the back panel

for a place to insert a gift card.

I decorated the back with the same DP instead.

You can see by the below image where

I've inserted a "fake" gift card.

PART TWO - Camera Album

Welcome back for Part Two of

Smile....you're on Candid Camera.

 

As promised, here is the little album

that was tucked inside the Polaroid Camera.

 

There are tons of photos to show it off.

 

The outside of the album was made from

black chipboard and it was decorated

with Bo Bunny's Mama Razzi 2 paper

and embellies.

 

 

For this part, we only had the class kit that my sister got

along with the dimensions of the base album....

only three pictures - so it was a little difficult to figure

out exactly what she did and how she put it

together - so this basically has our spin on it.

What a fabulous creation she came up with though!!!

If you missed the previous post, you may want to

go back and see that first.   The entire project

was created by Magdalena for a class

given at Stamping Details in Poway, Calif.

 

 

 

Here's the little album....

too cute, right!!!

The little black "glass" piece was another

piece of black chipboard globed with

Crystal Accents.

The little Polaroid Camera was made

out of cardstock and attached to

the album flap.

There's a little plastic bead attached

with cording to the side.

 

 

The album itself was made from black chipboard.

This is a view of the back of the album.

 

For the pages, I'm going to show them

undecorated first and then the decorated

page beneath it.  The photos were

all from our recent Caribbean Cruise.

This is the inside of the front cover with a

pocket on the left side and a flip-up flap on the right.

 

 

Here's the pocket with photos.

We left out of Brooklyn, so got

a great shot of the new World Trade Center

and lower Manhattan.

 

Here's the front of the flip-up flap with

our welcoming champagne!

The postage stamp is from a Hero Arts

boxed set and the little New York oval

 image is from Hampton Arts.

I added a bit of color with my Copics.

Here's the next page opened up.   As you can see

there are two flaps - one on each side.

 

When they're opened up, there's also a pocket

and two "polaroid photos"

I created these from glossy cardstock, and added

the black square from matt finish cardstock

on the back...  when you see the photos

they'll be on the opposite side.

These were not part of the class kit,

these I made up on my own :)

These were from Grand Turk in the Turks, Caicos.

polaroids from formal night.

The next page opened up has a

pocket on the left and a flap on the right

inside pocket on the right flap with a tag.

I'm missing the photo from the back side

of the right flap... sorry.

 

 

 

This photo shows the back of the flap from

the previous page with our wait staff.

The pocket with it's pull out panel

has a photo from Curacao.

The next page has a blank on the left,

a pocket in the center and a

flap on the right

 

I replaced the two "fake" polaroids with

a pull-out insert instead as you will

see below.

 

You can see the beautiful beach along 7-Mile Beach

in Grand Cayman on the left.

The right side shows the back of the right

flap and I added my own touch with

an accordion attachment.

The photo is a "veggie" monkey.

Here are a couple of the photos from the

accordion pull-out....  

One shows (not clearly here - sorry)

the Halloween display in the atrium

and the second shows the

board in the Casino - I made the finals

for the slot tournament

We're on to the last page and back cover.

 

 

The left side of the back is a flap.

 

The back of the album is a pocket.   You can

see that I swapped out the insert panel for the

previous page and replaced it

with 4 "polaroids".

 

Here's the left side flap raised up.

 

 

Photos on the left side were various shots

during the cruise.  The outside of the flap

was a shot of the Caribbean Princess.

You can see a part of it below.

 

Here are the 4 "polaroids" from our

visit to the ruins at Tulum...  What a beautiful place!

It's right on the ocean.... we docked at Cozumel and took

the ferry over for the tour.

 

The stamp on the album spine is another

Hero Arts image colored with Copics.

 

I hope you're not too worn out!

 

This was a lot of fun to make, but it took us DAYS

to try and figure out.  Hopefully, we did Magdalena

justice with our end result and our own twists on her pattern.

 

Not sure I'd ever make another, but

it really looks cool on my shelf

and it's a nice reminder of our cruise.
