Floral Thank You

Thought I'd get in one more post before leaving for CHA on Saturday morning.   I've done two cards using one of my favorite floral images from Yvonne Albritton who, unfortunately, is no longer in business.  She had such beautiful images.  Both are Thank You cards - one using a phrase from Sparkle N Sprinkle and one from Stampin' Up.
The cards are both colored with my trusty Copic Markers.  They're highlighted using Sparkle N Sprinkle Sparkling Snow glitter and rhinestones.  The top has an embossed front and the bottom has DP for the front.    It's such a bold image and is great fun to color.

Wart's Up???

I just absolutely LOVE the Penny Lane frogs!!!  They aren't new images by any means, but they've always spoken to me.  I decided to do a card that was really CAS and let the colors speak for themselves.  Looks like the google eyes are casting a shadow, but the overall card was nice.   It was very difficult not to take out some embossing folders or other elements and just leave the card base basically a blank canavas!
This was colored with Copic Markers and I used the Classic and Classic Scalloped Circle Spellbinder nesties - dimensionals and google eyes.  The Wart's Up image is from Sparkle N Sprinkle.  A little Sparkle N Sprinkle glitter and it was good to go!

Deco Divas - Love is in the Air Blog Hop

Welcome to the Sparkle N Sprinkle - Deco Divas - Love is in the Air Blog Hop!!!
If you hopped here by way of  Jill Jacobsen's blog, then you are in the right place!
Otherwise, you might want to start back at the beginning  (Sparkle N Sprinkle) to make sure you are eligible for the four great prizes that are available.

I really like the Heure de Party image by Gail Burton, so I chose that to share with you for this hop.  I pretty much stuck to the Deco Diva portion of the blog hop and have done the same image in two different styles and colors.

The first is black & white with a hint of red.  I used my trusty Copic markers to color the images on both cards.  Sparkling Snow glitter from SNS is used to highlight this one and Silver Leaf glitter tinsel also from SNS edges the rosette.  Some black velvet ribbon - a gorgeous black and white swirl designer paper, a crystal ring, a half pearl and rhinestones top it off.

Click on either of the main images to go directly to the SNS Gallery for full instructions and products.

For my second card, I decided to go with jewel tones.  I used Bridal & Orchid glitters from SNS to highlight the dresses and Purple Dust on a strip of Super Adhesive Sheet for the border.  I topped it off with a border punch from Martha Stewart and some half pearls and crystal flowers.  The black background was stamped with Versamark and I brushed on Interference Violet Perfect Pearls from Ranger over the Versamark to achieve just a hint of design.  The Spellbinders Label die cut out was then embossed using one of my favorite embossing folders from Stampin' Up.

I hope you enjoyed the blog hop and all the fabulous cards that the designers have created!  No one knows who has the mystery prizes on their blogs so don't forget to leave a comment on every blog to be eligible for the prizes and be sure to head on back to the Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog to answer that mystery question!

Thanks for spending a little time on my blog!  Hope you enjoyed it!

Your final destination is the SNS Blog! To become eligible for the Grand Prize and three mystery prizes, please leave a comment on my blog below and return to the SNS blog and answer one or both of the following questions. There are no right or wrong answers LOL

What's your favorite Valentine's Day tradition???   What's your inner Diva like??   Answering these questions back on the SNS Home Blog comments makes you eligible for the Grand Prize and 3 other secondary prizes! Good Luck!

Glass Vase

Saw this fun project on Splitcoast a couple of weeks ago, and I just had to try it. It was done using a Ball Jar and looked so fabulous! I had a small glass vase that I decided to try it out on. Just dab on Adirondak alcohol inks in your favorite colors (I used just 2 colors).
On the Splitcoast instructions, they brushed on Glossy Accents and I was about to do that, when a light bulb went off in my head and I decided to spray on some Goosebumps! Well - it turned out okay - but I think I'll try the brushing on of the Glossy Accents the next time LOL. You really can't control the spray well enough. At any rate, I sprinkled Sparkle N Sprinkle Sparkling Snow glitter over the wet Goosebumps and then brushed a little of it off.
I kind of fudged some purple felt flowers from a Spellbinders die cut and then found the Sizzix die that I knew I had somewhere but couldn't find. I think that means that my "rubber room" needs some rearranging. I sprayed a little Goosebumps spray on those and added glitter and hot glued a half pearl in the center. Tied some green seam binding over some lace - hot glued the flowers on and added a little tag from Stampin' Up. I think it turned out pretty well and was quite easy to do.

A Purse for Goodies!

Just thought I'd share a fun little project that my Paper Crafts club did a while back.  This was compliments of my friend, Nancy who's a Stampin' Up rep.  She provided the pattern and off we went!
It's a perfect size to hold 4 cards and envelopes (4 1/2 x 5 1/2 sized) and is fast and easy.........   You can even size it down to be smaller and make different sizes that are perfect for candy, gift cards and other small treats.........

This one was made using Stampin' Up designer paper which has unfortunately been discontinued to the dismay of our little club group.  It was one of our favorites!   I added some white lace that I gave an antique look to using shimmer sprays and topped it with satin ribbon, a dimensional paper flower and cute little blue flower brads.

Once I started with these, I couldn't stop....   This one was more elegant using a beautiful textured, glittery cardstock and mirror cardstock for the closure and the clasp.  Used my handy dandy Spellbinder's scalloped oval dies to make the closure and some stick on half beads.

This one was the little teeny size just right for a gift card or a few pieces of candy.  I made bunches of them for my Stampin' Up party as a hostess gift for my guests.  Of course, I hate to make the same thing over and over so they all had to be different.

The larger purse started out as a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock and was scored at 2 3/4 on one side and 2 3/4 in on the opposite side.  The other two sides were scored in at 4 1/2 and 4 1/2.
The smaller started as 6 x 6 and was scored at 2 1/2 and 2 1/2 on opposite sides and the other two sides were 1 1/2 x 1 1/2.
