On the Splitcoast instructions, they brushed on Glossy Accents and I was about to do that, when a light bulb went off in my head and I decided to spray on some Goosebumps! Well - it turned out okay - but I think I'll try the brushing on of the Glossy Accents the next time LOL. You really can't control the spray well enough. At any rate, I sprinkled Sparkle N Sprinkle Sparkling Snow glitter over the wet Goosebumps and then brushed a little of it off.
I kind of fudged some purple felt flowers from a Spellbinders die cut and then found the Sizzix die that I knew I had somewhere but couldn't find. I think that means that my "rubber room" needs some rearranging. I sprayed a little Goosebumps spray on those and added glitter and hot glued a half pearl in the center. Tied some green seam binding over some lace - hot glued the flowers on and added a little tag from Stampin' Up. I think it turned out pretty well and was quite easy to do.
So cool Brenda - You have got to experiment with that light bulb - I love it!! I have so many vases that I just have to try this with - maybe next month!! But for now - TFS!

ReplyDeleteThat touch of lace really makes a difference! If you're not going to put water in it, you can always do the glitter thing on the inside LOL to go with the AIs! It's a lovely vase - and really looks great with the felt flowers! Thanks for sharing your experiment! So where will this vase be going?
